Marie-Laurie Thérése Beaulieu passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at the Riverview Care Center in Medicine Hat on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Thérése was born and raised in?Val Marie, Saskatchewan. It was there that she met and married her first love, Theophile Philippe Beaulieu on September 25, 1944 and shared 37 wonderful years together. Thérése raised her family of three daughters and a son while working as a cleaning lady at the Shaunavon Hospital for more than 28 years. Before retiring, she worked off and on again over the next few years as a store clerk in Shaunavon. Thérése loved travelling, camping, boating, fishing and hunting with Philippe. She was a Lady of the Royal Purple, Elks Club in Shaunavon for a great number of years. Her love for animals was evident by the number of cats and dogs the family cared for over the years, including a horse. Thérése will be lovingly remembered by her children, Yvette (Lorne) Kingston and their children, Kevin, Sharon, Karen; Annette Thompson (Jack?Morrin) and their children; Paulette (Lyle)?East and their son, Delton; Romeo (Debra) Beaulieu and their family, Kathryn, Kassandra, Philippe John, Sara, Clayton, Leanne and Garett; one sister, Antoinette Beauchamp, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Thérése was predeceased by her parents, Adelard and?Albina St-Jean; brothers, Albert St-Jean and Leo St-Jean; her first husband and the father of her children, Philippe Beaulieu and her second husband of 11 years, Charles Duff. Vigil Prayers in honour of Thérése’s were held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 -13th Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at Christ The King Parish, Shaunavon, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Father John Mock celebrant. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
