Mary JANCO

February 23, 2014

JANCO, Mary:

Mary was born on March 27, 1928 in Zuberec, Czechoslovakia to parents Joseph and Annie Priemaza. In 1934 she moved to Canada with her family and started out their new life first in Natal, then moving to Middletown and finally settling permanently in Sparwood.

On April 14, 1945, she married the love of her life, Louis Janco and started to raise her own family. Together they were blessed with their son, Louis and three daughters; Debbie, Barb and Kathy. The births of her grandchildren Jodi and Jeremy brought great joy to her and she loved being a grandmother.

Mary was proud to be a part of her first great granddaughter, Kennedy’s baptism and was happy to be such a big part of her first two years of life. Mary’s family was always her greatest accomplishment and she loved her “fur babies” as though they were her own.

She loved to garden and in her later years when she was unable to get around as well as she used to, took up bird and wildlife watching, hummingbirds being her favorite up until her dying day. She is now at peace and has been reunited with Louis.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date with inurnment to follow at Rivercrest Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
