SAMY:
Nagamma Samy passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Monday, November 15, 2010 at the age of 76 years.
Nagamma was born to parents Esudasan and Annika on August 16, 1934 in Balata, Tavua, Fiji Islands. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Nagamma’s unwavering Christian faith helped her to endure life’s trials and tribulations. An inspiration to family and friends, Nagamma will be dearly missed.
Nagamma is survived by her 6 children: Satya, Ben (Pushpa), Samuel (Indra), Chris (Sinda), Florence (Kup Sami), and Christina, 11 grandchildren: Richard, Kathy, Kevin, Matthew, Trisha, Jessica, Krystal, Samson, Nicolas, Christina and Christopher, 2 great grandchildren: Anisha and Thanya, 2 brothers and 4 sisters as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Appal Samy.
Funeral services were held at the Sparwood Christian Center on Saturday, November 20th with Pastor Ross Powell officiating. Following the service, Nagamma was laid to rest at the Rivercrest Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
