Philip But Sheung Kwok peacefully passed away on January 24, 2017 in Cranbrook BC at the age of 84. Philip was born on April 2, 1932 in Chung Shan China as the youngest of 8 children in his family.
Philip lived an adventurous life as a tour guide in Hong Kong. He went to many places including Australia for work and lived in Macau. He met great people along the way and through work Philip met a Fernie couple who introduced them to the city and Philip came to Fernie, BC in 1981 from Hong Kong with his family. During his time in Fernie, Philip worked at the ski hill and helped his two children with their restaurants.
During his life, Philip always enjoyed putting on large celebrations for family and friends as he always enjoyed a good feast and creating good memories. He also loved a great game show and would catch them daily.
Family was very important to Philip and he will be survived by his wife Ann, son Eric (Christine) and daughter Donna (predeceased John). In addition, his grandchildren, Elaine (Tak), Colin (Jana), Maggie (Joe), Megan & great grand children Emi & Mira.
