1984-2020 ~ Philippe Matteau family will be celebrating his short life following his tragic accident on Saturday January 17th, 2020 with the Fernie community, where he enjoyed friendship, powder and shared memories.
All his life was centered on skiing the Rockies, each autumn the Fernie calling ''Ski the peaks'' overtook control of his heart and he couldn't resist moving West for the season. Philippe called Fernie his home.
His Quebec friends and family are so devastated, they need the support of the Fernie community and his BC friends to heal, share and celebrate his life.
A memorial will be held at the ski hill in Fernie, more details will be released during the upcoming week.
As Philippe would say ''Keep living the dream''.
