May 28, 1929 – July 17, 2011
Betty Madsen, of Elkford BC, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 17, 2011, after a brief illness, with her family by her side. She was a loving mom and grandma, as well as a wonderful sister, aunt, cousin and friend, who will be fondly remembered and missed by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Carla (Steve) Pinter, son Craig (Gerri) Madsen, daughter Anita (Kevin) Betteridge, and her grandchildren Lee, Sean and Todd Madsen, and Isla and Noah Betteridge. Betty also leaves behind her sister Gayle (Frank) Smith and family, brother Jim (Marilyn) Bailey and family, brother-in-law Bill Davies and family, as well as many dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband Carl, her mother Edna Bailey, her son Peter, and her sister Marilyn Davies.
Interment took place at Queen’s Park Cemetery in Calgary on Friday, July 22 at 1:00 pm.
