The Elk Valley would become his permanent home. Bob worked at Fording River as a machinist until retirement. Bob loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly remembered for his quick wit and one-of-a-kind personalities.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife Rosemary, his three girls Susan(Don) Tait, Lori (Kim) Krish, and Sheri (David) Taylor, his grandchildren Jason (Julie) Tait, Jessica (Jason) Bown, Jared (Tiffany) Krish, Ryan and Adam Taylor and his great grandchildren Lincoln and Levi Bown and Emi Krish.

In order to respect his request, there will be no service but instead just a simple toast to acknowledge and honour a man that will never be forgotten and that can now be at peace and free.

“Miss Me”

When I come to the end of the

road and the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.

Why cry for a soul set free!

Miss me a little, but not too long,

and not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we once

shared, miss me but let me go.

For this journey we all must take,

and each must go alone.

It’s all part of the Master plan,

a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely

and sick of heart,

go to the friends we know

and bury your sorrows

in doing good deeds.

Miss me, but let me go.
