Roger, Ernest Scanlon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Ernest Scanlon of Fort St. John, BC who passed away on June 17, 2012 at 66 years of age.

Roger was born on June 22, 1945 to parents Virginia and Ernie Scanlon in Eckville, Alberta. As a teen he attended South Peace Secondary School in Dawson Creek, BC and later graduated with a GED. He married Margaret Smith in Fairbanks, Alaska on September 21, 1977. Roger was a very hard worker and worked as a heavy duty mechanic at Romar Mechanical Services.

Roger is pre-deceased by his parents Ernie and Virginia Scanlon, he is survived by his wife Margaret, his daughters Robin Scanlon and Becky Banack, his grandchildren Rachel and Max Banack, his brother Rolly Scanlon and his sisters Ruth Barker and Roxie Scanlon.

A special thank you to all of the ICU nurses in the Prince George Hospital, Dr. Thompson and all of the nurses at the Fort St. John Hospital.

Roger will be deeply missed...

Memorial services were held Friday, June 22nd from the Charlie Lake Community Church in Charlie Lake, BC. If so desired expressions of sympathy can be made in memory of Roger to the Fort St. John SPCA. Condolences may be forwarded through www.hamresfuneral.com
