With loved ones by his side, 81-year-old Ronald Corrigan passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital on Friday, January 5, 2018. Ron was born in Coal Creek, BC on July 16, 1936.
Ron is survived by his wife Celia (nee Mader), his 2 sons: Guy (Alanna) and Dale (Ronda), 4 granddaughters: Miranda (Bryton), Danielle (Mike), Layne and Kyra, his brother Harry Corrigan and sister Isobel Henderson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Owen and William Corrigan, and his sister Ida Harrad.
Ron lived his life serving the community through his business, the Elks Lodge, the Anglican Church, and his involvement in the Fernie Golf Club and the Curling Club. Family and friends were always important, and many nights were spent visiting around town. His circle of friends was vast, covering areas from his Elks Lodge to the Golf & Curling Club. He made sure he maintained those friendships throughout his life and never stopped making friends as he went along.
