LIPPA:
With loved ones close by, 81-year-old Rose Lippa was called home by her Lord and Savior on January 30, 2017. Rosetta Bruna was born in Trail, BC on June 3, 1935 to Italian immigrants Antonio and Santa (Borsato) Cirotto.
Rose is survived by her children: Loriann (Blair) Hucik of Elkford, BC and Nick Jr. (Sheila) Lippa of Baynes Lake, BC; 4 grandchildren: Nicholas (Robyn) Hucik of Sparwood, BC, Cody (Nicki) Hucik of Lethbridge, AB, Pamela (Vini) Virdi of Calgary, AB, and Ken (Caitlin) Miller of Cranbrook, BC; 4 great grandchildren: Alexa and Nathan Hucik and Kezia and Jaya Virdi, and brothers Roy (Brenda) Cirotto of Belleville, ON and Val (Nora) Cirotto of Trail, BC with their families. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Nick Lippa Sr.
Rose had an enormous love of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked to partake in 1:00 afternoon crib games at Lilac Terrace. Rose also liked gardening, and often had words of wisdom and tips for those who listened. She was a wonderful cook, often encouraging visitors to “have one more bite”.
Rose always had a kind word for all, and encouraged her family to say “love you” to each other daily. She was a devout Catholic and readily helped set up for mass at Lilac Terrace every Friday morning.
Our mother’s love for us, her family, will always be remembered in our hearts.
