Sheila Christina Manning, 82 died passed away on January 16, 2019 succumbing to cancer. Born August 13, 1936 in Sparwood, BC, Sheila is predeceased by her parents Norino and Ada Depaoli and her husband Dennis Manning.
Even though Sheila was shy and known to be on the quiet side, her strength of character, love of life and openness to adventure meant she touched the lives of many people. She was an amazing mother, a talented quilter and her crochet stitch left many people awed at her talents.
She leaves behind 1 brother, Rudy DePaoli (Dena), 5 daughters and their spouses, Monica Nahm (Karl), Yvonne Heitzman (James), Debbie Manning, Dena Manning (Derek Alexon) and Christine Manning (James Houston), her grandchildren Kelvin Nahm, Blair Nahm, Harley Heitzman, Alicia Alexon, Liam Alexon, Sara and Lana Duban as well as great granddaughter Wynn Nahm.
Sheila was never the one to be the centre of attention, so there will be no funeral service. She asks that in lieu of flowers or cards, donations be made to the Agape Hospice (http://www.agapehospice.ca/) where she was lovingly cared for in her final days or to the Salvation Army.
