It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of forty-eight year old Sheri Lynn Banner. Sheri died at the Elk Valley Hospital on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 following a three year battle with cancer. Sheri will be dearly missed by her husband David, her daughter Kimberly and her precious grandchild, Morgen Tanner. She is also survived by her mother Lil Manuel (Harry Mueller), brothers Donnie (Kat) and Neil Manuel, sisters Joanne (Al) Dixon, Sue Mueller, and Gail Mueller (James Kurulok), as well as many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends and neighbours. Sheri was predeceased by Nanny Nord. Sheri was born in Rossland, BC on March 25, 1962. Raised and educated in Salmo, Sheri graduated from Salmo Secondary in 1980. She enjoyed participating in and sometimes leading Aquafit classes, camping and spending time amongst family and friends. Sheri refused to let cancer dictate her life. Throughout the past three years she fought and overcame many battles against the disease – continuing to enjoy life with passion and tenacity. Sheri will be forever loved and never forgotten by those whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service celebrating her life was held at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel” on Saturday, September 18th with Rev. Jane Clarke officiating.
