Stanley Gordon Jarolim, better known as Stan, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the age of 77.

Stan was born in Natal, BC and lived all of his life in Natal, and then in Sparwood, B.C. when everyone was moved out, and the towns on Michel and Natal were demolished. He was employed in a variety of positions in the mines in the area until he retired in 2005.

Stan is preceded in death by his mother, Bessie; father, Joseph; twin brother Joey, and sisters Bela and Beatrice. He is survived by six nieces and nephews: Kathy (David), Diane, Gord (Cindy), Dave (Janice), Christine, Sharon (Nick).

Of all characteristics, his big laugh and his sense of humour made Stan who he was. He loved to fish and could be found many summers on a local river or in his boat on Lake Koocanusa or Grave Lake. In the winter, he would spend many days on his snowmobile in the local mountains. But most of all, he loved his cats.

Everyone is welcome to attend Stan's Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Sparwood Legion.

In lieu of flowers or cards please make a donation to either the local SPCA or the local Rod and Gun club.
