It is with aching hearts that we announce the sudden death of Wade James Simmons; beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to so many. Wade died on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the age of 49 years doing what he did best …. enjoying life to the fullest.
The youngest of three children, Wade was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on March 5, 1962 to parents Eric and Eva Simmons. Energetic, fun-loving and outgoing, even as a child Wade loved to make people laugh. Life with Wade was never dull or boring … another adventure always lay just around the next corner.
Wade and Denise were blessed when they found each other; soul-mates and best friends for life. Together they raised their daughters Jennifer and Ashley in a home filled with unconditional love and happiness; creating memories they will cherish for a lifetime.
The door to the Simmons’ home was always open; even those who entered as strangers soon left as a friend. Wade made everyone around him comfortable; he simply loved people and loved life. He will be forever remembered for the sparkle in his eye, his mischievous grin, and the countless moments of joy he brought into our lives.
Wade will be dearly missed by his wife Denise and their daughters Jennifer and Ashley, his parents Eric and Eva Simmons, his sister Sheila, and his brother Derek (Rosemarie) with their children Stephanie, Adam and Andrew. He is also survived by his in-laws Eugene and Kay MacIsaac, sister-in-law Coleen, and his brother-in-law Danny (Thais) with children Addison and Evan.
Visitation was held at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel” on Thursday, April 7th. Funeral Services took place at the LDS Church with Major Joan Shayler of the Salvation Army officiating.
