On behalf of several Hill Road residents we would like to take this opportunity to thank Area A Director Mike Sosnowski for his efforts and commitment to follow through on providing river bank protection in the Cokato area.
Last year, several residents met with Mr. Sosnowski regarding our flooding situation and he committed to try and get some river bank protection work done prior to this year's flood event. This past week, several haul trucks and earth moving equipment were used to establish some river bank protection in the Cokato area. This preliminary work is proposed to be followed up next year by repairing the original 1906 dyke. This river bank protection support, the establishment of rural fire protection for all of Cokato, along with the upcoming paving of the Cokato road is greatly appreciated by our community. We would like to express our sincere thanks for your concern and efforts in following through on your commitments and resolving these issues for the Cokato community.
