The Apex Freestyle Club (AFC) shone at a pair of B.C.-wide events last weekend, including in Fernie where a local athlete took home three medals.
Franky Farcau had a trio of podium finishes at the Fernie Timber Tour, winning the gold medal in moguls.
Farcau, who trains at the Apex Mountain Resort west of Penticton, also took home bronze medals in slopestyle and big air events, respectively, from Jan. 23 to 26.
The Apex Freestyle Club also sent athletes to the Canada Cup in Panorama last weekend.
"It was a cold and busy weekend for AFC’s performance team," the club said in a social media post.
"With a Canada Cup in Panorama and a Timber Tour in Fernie, our athletes were putting their hard work to the test amongst the best of B.C. and beyond."
