Elk Valley Wild Pee Wee Rep team travelled to Kelowna on December 6 to play hockey in the Blood, Sweat, and Tiers Tournament. This Tier 3 and 4 tournament had teams participating from all around B.C. including teams from Victoria, Cranbrook, Abbotsford, Kamloops, and Winfield.  The players had a great weekend of hockey and despite the cold -10 degree temperatures, some of them even went swimming in the outdoor pool at the hotel.

Their first game was Friday against Kamloops.  Elk Valley Wild dominated their first game with a 11-0 win.  The team was able to get some rest and have some fun before their next game against the local Kelowna team.  Again, the Elk Valley Wild took the lead and never let it go, winning 3-0 .  An arena switch and change of jerseys and the team was back on the ice to face Winfield.  Elk Valley Wild again won the game 7-4 and secured a first place finish in the round robin play.  They were off to the semi-finals on Sunday.

The semi-final game was against Abbotsford.  Despite the early 6:30 am start, Elk Valley Wild was first to score.  They never gave up their lead and claimed a 7-3 victory.  The Wild would again meet Winfield to play for the gold.

The Elk Valley Wild was again the first to score, and with a final score was 6-3, the team won gold in the Kelowna Tier 4 tournament.
