Fernie’s one and only junior roller derby team spent Saturday, March 23 in Lethbridge for the Red and Black scrimmage.

The Avalanche City bombSQUAD had fun mixing in with other junior players, aged seven to 18, from Lethbridge and Medicine Hat to play in their very first scrimmage. After upping their skills in Lethbridge and trying their hand against other teams, the bombSQUAD returned to Fernie to continue training.

The bombSQUAD practises every Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. at the Max Turyk gymnasium. The team is still on the lookout for members and newcomers are always welcome.
