The Creston Valley Minor Hockey Association's atom B and peewee house played their first games of the new year on the road on the weekend. Saturday afternoon brought the atom B team through the snow to Elkford. With Regan Sanderson in net, the team stood their ground and played their best, with the game ending in a 14-0 loss.

On Sunday afternoon, the Mottl twins, Alex and Ashley, celebrated their birthday on the ice in Cranbrook. The game ended with Cranbrook winning by a significant score and Creston with zero.

The peewee house team was also in Cranbrook on Sunday afternoon, playing against Cranbrook Dodge, a rematch of the home tournament final game. Creston started the scoring with a strong goal from Alex Blackmore, assisted by Levi Palmer. Cranbrook then tied it up quickly, but Creston broke it with only three minutes remaining, with a goal from Justice Samuels Mund.

Creston came on the ice in the second period looking for a goal. It came quickly, less than a minute in by the “twin towers” defense, with the goal scored by Tyson Steed, with Shayne Walker assisting. Vinson Blackmore finished out the second period by scoring two unassisted goals.

The score after two periods was 5-2 in favor of Creston. An exciting third period started with a goal by Mund, the puck being sent to him from Kenton Blackmore. To end the period and the game with only one second left, Creston snuck one more goal in, unassisted by Alex Blackmore, for a final score of 7-3 for Creston.
