This Saturday March 11th Fernie Old School Boxing Club presents Judgment Night IV at the Community Center an evening of Charity and amateur Boxing.

“I am thrilled to be able to bring back this charity event,” said Michael Johnson - President and Head Coach of the Club. “It has been an extraordinary three years for everyone including this club. The Covid Shut downs, false starts, reduced numbers, they all nearly caused the demise of the Club said Johnson. But sheer determination and a need for the Club to exist for the well being of its members kept us going. Not forgetting a very understanding landlord.”

The charity event this year consists of 20 bouts, which is unprecedented, Johnson says, and will certainly keep people entertained.

“Ten bouts are our Charity Boxers - getting in the ring for three, one minute rounds all from local businesses and whom have trained relentlessly for the last three months. Then we have 10 Amateur bouts which will feature three of our own local Fernie Boxers and clubs from BC, Alberta and Montana USA.”

The Show is sold out. “Ticket demand was through the roof,” said Johnson, with tickets gone within two days of them going on sale.

Proceeds raised from the event will go towards Club Funding, Charities, Non-Profits, families and other causes within the Elk Valley
