Five athletes represented Passtrak at the 2011 edition of the Calgary Spring Challenge Track and Field meet that took place on May 14 and 15. The conditions on both days were horrible with gale force winds in the athlete’s faces for all of the events. Needless to say everyone’s performances were sub par but they still fared quite well against the competition. Although only four personal best performances and four new club records were realized, the Passtrak athletes did bring home six first, six second and six third place medals out of 34 events.

Zion Ratudradra competed in the peewee boys category where he earned six medals for his efforts. He placed third in the 150 metres, the running long jump and the standing long jump. Three second place finishes came in the 600 metres, the 1,000 metres and the discus.

Dustin White was in the bantam boys age group where he picked up a gold medal with a 1.25 metres leap in the high jump and improved his discus distance by over a metre to 11.58 metres.

Alisi Ratudradra competed in the bantam girls division. She won the long jump with a personal best of 3.81 metres and also took first place in the 800 metres, 1200 metres, 80 metres hurdles and discus. She earned second place finishes in the 150 metres and the 200 metres hurdles where she set a new club record of 35.94 seconds.

Cameo Hanlon also competed in the bantam girls division. She picked up two bronze medals with a 16.81 seconds run in the 80 metres hurdles and a 1.25 metres clearance in the high jump. She also set a new Passtrak club record by running 37.13 seconds in the 200 metres hurdles.

Nakoda Mason represented the club in the midget boys category. He earned a silver medal and set a new club record with an 18.57 seconds run in the 100 metres hurdles. He then picked up a bronze medal in the 200 metres hurdles while setting a personal best and a new club record of 31.59 seconds.
