The lineup went out the front door and into the playground as eager parents, family members, and friends arrived for the Isabella Dicken Spring Tea this afternoon.

The elementary school's annual fundraiser was a huge hit once again, with many members of the community coming out for the tea service that ran from 11 am to 2 pm. Grade six students were on hand to help seat guests, pour them a hot cup of tea or coffee, and serve up a cheese and cracker plate. Of course, no tea would be complete without something sweet. The dessert plate included a variety of baked goods, and the bake sale table held everything from cookies and cakes to squares and bars.

Complementing the tea was the school's Spring Book Sale. Students were encouraged to purchase books as part of the school's reading incentive program where parents log the hours their child spends every evening reading. After reaching their target number of hours, students receive a free book.
