Arts, Culture and Heritage Grant Writing Workshop applications now accepted

To assist those interested in applying for Arts, Culture and Heritage Program grants from Columbia Basin Trust, Krista Patterson and Natasha Smith of the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance (CKCA) will present workshops on how to apply and what to expect from the application process. The Trust’s Arts, Culture and Heritage grants are managed and administered by CKCA.

Individuals of all artistic disciplines are invited to attend the workshops, as well as arts, culture and heritage organizations residing in the Columbia Basin.

The Trust proudly supports initiatives and projects that highlight Basin culture and heritage, and for 2014/15, CKCA is receiving $706,000.

Workshops are FREE. Registration is required. Locations, dates and times are as follows:

Sparwood - Thursday, Feb. 13 1 pm - 3 pm hosted by the Sparwood & District Arts & Heritage Council.

Location: Sparwood Chamber of Commerce, 141A Aspen Drive, Sparwood.

Kimberley - Friday, Feb. 14 1 pm - 3 pm hosted by the Kimberley Arts Council.

Location: Centre 64, 64 Deer Park Ave Kimberley.

Creston - Saturday, Feb. 15 1 pm - 3 pm hosted by the Creston Community Arts Council.

Location: Creston & District Community Complex, Kootenay Room, 312 - 19 Ave N, Creston.

Winlaw - Thursday, Feb. 20 7 pm - 9 pm hosted by the Slocan Valley Community Arts Council.

Location: The Threads Guild, 7112 Perry’s Back Road (at junction with Hwy. 6)

Castlegar - Saturday, Feb. 22 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm hosted by the Castlegar & District Arts Council.

Location: Castlegar & District Recreation Centre, 2101 6th Avenue, Castlegar.

Nakusp - Sunday, Feb. 23 10:30 am - 12:30 pm hosted by the Arrow Lake Arts Council

Location: Selkirk College, 311 Broadway Street, Nakusp.

Online Workshops – Friday Feb. 21 2 - 4 pm PDT & Mon. Feb. 24, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. PDT.
