The 2011 Relay for Life fundraising campaign will kick off during the Griz Days festivities this weekend.
Organizers will be serving hot chilli and hot chocolate from a trailer outside Overwaitea Foods on Friday evening from 6 p.m. and hope to start getting people involved in fundraising for the event, scheduled for June 4.
“Through our Griz Parade activity, we hope to raise funds and connect with new community volunteers who are willing to help out with this year’s Relay For Life,” said Elk Valley Relay For Life Coordinator, Anthony McQuilter.
