Little Sprouts gardening program is great for kids that like to get their hands dirty.
The free program, run by the Fernie Women’s Resource Centre, is held at the Fernie Community EcoGarden in Prentice Park every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to noon during July and August, and encourages kids to learn about dirt, bugs, and gardening.
The program has been really popular, with more than 40 kids showing up most weeks.
Kids up to age six are invited, along with their parent/caregiver. As well as messing around in the dirt, there are also crafts, snacks, and songs!
