Kids from the Fernie School Aged Care Society enjoyed a trip to Happy Cow last Friday to sample some of their hand made ice cream.
The kids learned a little about how the ice cream is made, and even got to name their latest creation, “Crazy Caramel Fudge.”
The after school society has a licensed facility in Max Turyk, pick up children from Kindergarten to Grade 6 from both Isabella Dicken Elementary School and the Academy and offer professional care until 6:30 p.m. daily and all day on “no school Fridays.”
They are also one of the 20 after school care programs chosen (out of 169 programs) to participate in a Canada wide pilot test for the active living after school care program.
