Members of the board of directors and administration for Lilac Terrace are making a donation to the building’s expansion, and are encouraging other members of the community who believe in this project to do the same.
If 2,000 people donate $200, the goal of the remaining $400,000 to be raised will be met. A total of $3.2 million has been raised to date. This includes the Svec Fund, which many Sparwood residents are happy to know is coming back to the community.
The Lilac Terrace expansion will include two community rooms that can be used for palliative and respite care. This will be a new service for Sparwood and a very important one as it allows individuals in a very vulnerable stage of their life to stay close to family and friends and receive the best care possible.
