On Thursday, May 31, The Art Station’s doors will open for an exhibit by Fernie Secondary students, in collaboration with several local artists.

“Art of Dinner” is a semester-long art project by Dan Whillans’ Grade 10-12 Fine Art class.

Students worked with local potter Sarah Pike to construct their own plate and cup before experimenting with food art with Sarah MacDonald, a local food specialist.

Once the artworks were completed, students worked with photographer Philip McLachlan to creatively capture their work.

“We are very impressed with the final product and would enjoy seeing you this Thursday,” said Whillans.

The exhibition will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.

Friends and family are encouraged to support the students by attending the exhibition.
