The fourth annual lingerie show at the Royal Hotel isn’t just for the ladies.

Feeling sexy? The Royal Hotel is hosting the fourth annual lingerie show on February 15.

“It's a super fun night and it's for a good cause,” said Julie Comete, Royal Hotel manager. “Get out there Fernie and show us your stuff.”

It's a fundraiser for the Options for Sexual Health (Opt) Fernie clinic at the Elk Valley Hospital. The first Comete heard of Opt Fernie was when a friend mentioned it to her as an choice for a fundraiser.

“I figured if I didn’t know about it, I bet other people didn’t either.

“It’s a good way to promote the Opt clinic within the bar crowd. It can be hard to get a doctor and it’s important to have check ups and having access to resources.

“We encourage people to wear something sexy, racy or PJish; something you’re comfortable with as people are invited to warm up the cat walk before the fashion show.”

The fashion show itself will have groups of three or four people modelling on the catwalk at a time usually to a theme.

“Last year one group wore purple lingerie to the song “Purple Haze” complete with a man dressed as Jimi Hendrix in his briefs,” said Comete.

That’s right, all genders are welcome to model at the show.

Tickets are $10 and the Opt Fernie clinic for sexual health will be handing out packages with a business card, condom and lubricant at the door.
