The Sparwood Skating Club proudly presented their annual skating carnival on March 2 and 3.

There were two performances that entertained hundreds of community members and families, allowing the skaters to showcase their skating skills and hard work over the 2017/18 season.

They were just shy of 60 skaters in the show; with skaters of all levels, aged three to 17.

“Game On!” featured 33 numbers representing classic board, video, sports and other games.

There was lots of fun had by members in the crowd as they tried to guess the game the skaters were representing with their costumes, props, and/or decorations.

A surprise guest popped out from under the blanket on the ambulance cart during the “Operation” routine, which led to lots of cheering and squealing from both skaters and the crowd.

Coach Lisa Skubovius was able to appear in a few numbers during the show, which thrilled the skaters to have their coach skate with them.

A big thank you to Lisa for her vision and hard work choreographing, and putting together such a fantastic show for her last season as head coach with the Sparwood Skating Club.

She will be missed by all the skaters.
