Ecoline Windows and Doors has the product selection, installation experience and rebate expertise to help with your home upgrade!

Sometimes you don’t notice the quirks and challenges in your own home until you visit someone else’s. Flush a friend’s new toilet and you’ll suddenly realize that yours has been struggling for months. Hear their heater turn on and realize that yours is so noisy it’s hard to hear the TV.

Quality front doors are another part of homes that’s often overlooked. Is your door misaligned in the frame, so it gets stuck every time you open it? Has the weatherstripping worn out, so you feel a draft around the edges? Is it dented and scuffed, or so old it can’t possibly be energy efficient?

Ecoline Windows are window and door experts, with installation experience and a wide range of modern, energy efficient entry doors for your home upgrade. Choose from solid front doors and front doors with glass, and pick your material — fibreglass or steel — to match your design and function needs. Once you make the upgrade, you’ll wonder how you survived so long without it!

Grants and rebates for energy efficient upgradeshow to save on door replacement

To make renovations more affordable, the provincial and federal governments provide grants and rebates to homeowners who perform energy efficient upgrades. You’ll enjoy a more comfortable home and lower utility bills, while also reducing our country’s carbon emissions. There are three programs available to Canadians living in British Columbia.

  • Canada Greener Homes Grant: This grant helps homeowners in Canada make their homes more energy efficient, with rebates for the installation of solar panels, upgrades to heaters and replacement doors and windows. Homeowners must have pre- and post-energy evaluations, and can get up to a $600 reimbursement fee on those costs. Up to $5,000 of window and door replacement costs are covered, providing that you follow all requirements. Windows and doors must have the ENERGY STAR label — Ecoline doors have this label. All equipment must be purchased in Canada, and online purchases are eligible if they are ordered from a distributor located in Canada.
  • The British Columbia Energy Efficiency Rebate Program: Up to $10,000 in rebates are available for residential renovation projects, including to $2,000 in rebates for replacement windows and doors. You can receive rebates via cheque, deduction on your bill, or e-transfer. To be eligible, you must have a BC Hydro or FortisBC account, and the home must be a year-round, residential dwelling. Products must be listed on the Natural Resource Canada certified fenestration products list, and the installation contractor must have a valid BC business license. Ecoline Windows meets all product and installation requirements, and they’ll even submit the initial application and installation invoice after completion for you.
  • The CleanBC Income Rebate: You can combine these grants with the CleanBC Income Rebate for even more savings. This income qualified rebate helps low income individuals and families, offering rebates on windows and doors of up to $9,500. Rebates compensate for 60-95 per cent of your home’s renovation costs. If your household income is below $147,943, you may qualify for this rebate! A single resident household with an income of $42,593 may be eligible for a rebate on up to 95 per cent of renovation costs. A single resident household with an income of $55,903 may be eligible for up to 60 per cent of upgrade costs. Households with two or more residents each have their own income thresholds. Register and verify your eligibility before installing updates, and use a registered contractor like Ecoline Windows and Doors — DIY installations don’t qualify.
