Accident on Highway 43 results in one fatality

On Wednesday afternoon, the Elk Valley RCMP responded to an accident on Highway 43, near Elkford.

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motorcycle incident near Elkford on Aug. 3, 2016.

He was Sean Dale Buday, aged 47, of Castlegar.

Buday was the operator of a northbound motorcycle that went out of control and tumbled into the ditchon Highway 43 about 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 3, 2016. Buday was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Buday's family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
