Driver charged after head-on collision

A driver has been charged with causing a head on collision on Highway 3 in Hosmer on Saturday.

A driver has been charged with causing a head on collision on Highway 3 in Hosmer on Saturday.

The RCMP said they attended to the scene of the collision on Saturday morning and one vehicle involved in the head-on had left the road and ended up partially submerged in a nearby waterway.

BC Ambulance Service and Fire Rescue utilized the Jaws of Life to extract two passengers from the partially submerged vehicle.

After more investigation, it was discovered one driver was at fault and he was subsequently charged under the motor vehicle act.

The condition of two passengers is unknown, and the other two received minor, non-life threatening injuries.
