Environment Canada snowfall warning continues for Elk Valley

The snow fall continues as the City of Fernie is busy with snow removal.

Environment Canada has issued a warning that significant snowfall is occurring and more is expected in the Elk Valley. Total snowfall amounts up to 25 cm can be expected near Fernie by this afternoon.

A Pacific weather system moving across the interior brought close to 10 cm of snow near Fernie last night. Additional snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm can be expected today before the snow tapers off to a few flurries this afternoon.
