The Kootenay Carshare Cooperative has an exciting summer of activity and promotion ahead of it.  The Carshare has successfully received funds from the Columbia Basin Trust’s Community Initiatives program from the City of Revelstoke and the City of Fernie.  The Canadian Cooperative Association’s Cooperative Development Initiative program also provided a significant amount of funding.  In addition to these grants, the Co-op has received support from the BC Cooperative Association to hire Tessa Jackson to coordinate events and promote the Carshare in the region.  We want to send out a huge thank you to these groups for their funding and support.

These funds will be put to good use; the Carshare has brought on the experienced graphic design team Frolix to redesign their webpage and create new marketing materials. Frolix has worked with Columbia Basin Trust and other prominent Kootenay organizations to improve their image and make their web and print materials more effective.  We know they will do an amazing job sprucing up the Carshare’s website and adding some flair to our marketing materials.

So far this summer the Carshare has been active in community events in the region.

Keep an eye out for other upcoming events in your community to celebrate the Kootenay Carshare’s 10th Anniversary and launch membership drive month in September.
