Police turn search for woman who stole $1,700 to the Elk Valley

Police believe thief who stole from Cranbrook Wal Mart lives in this area.

Cranbrook RCMP are seeking assistance in identifying a woman who shoplifted over $1,700 in electronic and other merchandise at the Cranbrook Wal Mart on December 13, just before noon. The women is described as being in her mid twenties, well dressed with long dark hair and a fair complexion. At the time of the theft, she was carrying a large dark coloured purse on her shoulder. The RCMP believe the woman lives in the Elk Valley area.
