On Thursday, April 11, Elkford’s Urban Wildlife Committee is hosting an interactive community event featuring demonstrations, safety talks and advice from renowned wildlife experts and organizations. This is a free, family friendly event and all are welcome.

The event begins at 4 p.m at the Community Conference Centre. There will be for door prizes, giveaways and a free barbecue sponsored by Teck Coal Ltd.

There will be presentations from:

· Wildsafe BC

· Grizzly bear biologist, Clayton T. Lamb, PhD

· Canadian Bear Safety Authority founder and owner, John Clarke

· Grizzly Bear Coexistence Solutions

· Wildlife rehabilitator for Little Mittens Wildlife Rescue, Kaida Wannamaker, RVT

· Wildsight—Reconnecting the Rockies
