Tuesday, July 19

• In Sparwood at 12:38 a.m. a vehicle was reported missing.

• In Fernie at 12:58 a.m. a residential B&E (Break and Enter) was reported. Various items were taken. “Ident” (Forensic Team from Cranbrook) was called for assistance.

• In Grasmere at 1:04 a.m. a report was made of an abandoned 911 call.

• In Elkford at 1:38 a.m. a report was made of a possible B&E.

• In Fernie at 1:42 a.m. a possible impaired driver was reported. The driver was issued a 24-hour driving suspension.

• In Sparwood at 9:40 a.m. a red Pontiac was reported driving erratically (fishtailing).

• Two violation tickets were issued under the LCLA (Liquor Control Licensing Act).

• In Fernie at 11:14 a.m. a theft was reported.

• In Fernie at 2:07 p.m. there was a report of a two-vehicle fender-bender.

• In Elkford at 5:17 p.m. a black GMC Sierra was reported for driving erratically.

• In Fernie at 5:40 p.m. a wallet was reported found.

• In Fernie at 6:22 p.m. there was a report of a false residential alarm.

• In Fernie at 7:51 p.m. a report was made regarding a deer needing to be removed.

• In Fernie at 8:51 p.m. an individual was reported with an inappropriate sign in downtown Fernie.

• In Roosville at 8:56 p.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported going through the border crossing.

• In Sparwood at 9:16 p.m. a false residential alarm was reported.

• In Fernie at 11:16 p.m. a request was made for RCMP assistance at a local hotel regarding two individuals.

Wednesday, July 20

• In Sparwood at 9:11 a.m. a report was made of mischief done overnight to a vehicle.

• In Fernie at 10:40 a.m. there was a report of a robbery that had just taken place. A bike was stolen.

• In Fernie at 1:28 p.m. a report was made involving a verbal altercation arising from a parking dispute.

• In Fernie at 2 p.m. some missing property was reported.

• In Fernie at 2:35 p.m. a report was made regarding threats being made.

• In Fernie at 2:50 p.m. a report was made regarding a suspicious phone call to a local business.

• In Fernie at 3:35 p.m. police responded to an emergency beacon being activated by an individual west of Fernie. Police and Search and Rescue attended and located the individual. The individual had got lost and her vehicle was stuck. The individual did not sustain any injuries.

• In Fernie at 5:24 p.m. mischief to a vehicle was reported.

• In Fernie at 8:28 p.m. an assault was reported. The assault involved two individuals known to one another.

• In Fernie at 8:30 p.m. a request was made from a third party for police to check on an individual that was mountain biking. The individual was located and it was determined no medical assistance was required.

• In Fernie at 9:16 p.m. a GMC Sierra was reported for speeding, fishtailing, and using high beams unnecessarily.

• In Fernie at 10:04 p.m. a 90-day IRP (Immediate Roadside Prohibition) was issued.

Thursday, July 21

• In Fernie at 12:21 p.m. a driving complaint was reported. The report involved a white Ford F-250 pulling a trailer.

• In Fernie at 12:54 p.m. a shoplifter at a local store was reported.

• In Fernie at 12:54 p.m. a bicycle was reported stolen.

• In Fernie at 1:18 p.m. a bicycle theft was reported.

• In Sparwood at 3:59 p.m. a disturbance between two individuals was reported.

• In Sparwood at 10:29 p.m. a report was made of harassment. The incident involved text messaging between two individuals known to one another.

• At 11:34 p.m. a request was made for assistance in locating an individual. Police were successful.

 

Friday, July 22

• In Sparwood at 9:53 a.m. a single vehicle MVI was reported involving a deer.

• In Elkford at 10:53 a.m. there was a report of an abandoned vehicle.

• In Elkford at 11:37 a.m. there was a report of a found mountain bike.

• In Elkford at 11:41 a.m. there was a wallet reported found.

• In Sparwood at 12:43 p.m. a request was made from Trail RCMP in returning property to an individual living in the Elk Valley area.

• In Elkford at 1:20 p.m. there was a traffic complaint regarding a truck leaking diesel.

• In Fernie at 2:20 p.m. there was a driving complaint about a tan Dodge vehicle speeding.

• In Elko at 3:21 p.m. a vehicle was impounded for excessive speed.

• In Fernie at 4:01 p.m. there was a request for assistance regarding stolen property.

• In Sparwood at 4:40 p.m. a report was made of a lost motorcycle plate.

• In Fernie at 5:19 p.m. there was a traffic complaint regarding an old beige camper (no lights, no license plate).

 

• In Sparwood at 6:56 p.m. there was a report of harassment.

• In Homer at 8:25 a green 4-door vehicle was reported for tailgating and cutting off other vehicles.

• In Sparwood at 10:13 p.m. a 3-day IRP was issued.

• Near Koocanusa at 11:36 p.m. there was a request in locating one or possibly two individuals who were possibly stranded. No further information available.

Saturday, July 23

• At 3:25 p.m. a report was made regarding an intoxicated individual rummaging through a garage.

• In Sparwood at 4:14 p.m. a license plate was reported stolen.

• In Fernie at 4:38 p.m. a 3-day IRP was issued.

• In Sparwood at 5:31p.m. an assault was reported. The incident occurred between two people known to one another.

• In Elkford at 5:57 p.m. police were asked to check on a dog left unattended in a vehicle.

• In Sparwood at 8:42 p.m. an individual was reported for driving uninsured.

• In Elko at 10:39 p.m. an ATV accident was reported. The driver was transported to Fernie hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Sunday, July 24

• Near Kikomun, at 3:42 a.m. there was a noise complaint involving a parked houseboat.

• In Fernie at 9:57 a.m. a wallet was reported lost.

• In Fernie at 12:45 p.m. there was a report of a lost wallet.

• In Elko at 2:59 p.m. a brown 4x4 vehicle was reported for passing unsafely.

• In Sparwood at 5:19 p.m. there was a report of suspicious drug activity.

• In Fernie at 7:59 p.m. a report was made of a business alarm. The alarm was a false one. The two individuals were known to one another.

• In Sparwood (near Grave Lake area) at 10:45 p.m. a 3-day IRP was issued.

Monday, July 25

• In Fernie at 12:14 a.m. approximately five males were reported fighting outside a local hotel.

• In Sparwood at 3:54 a.m. an individual was issued a driving prohibition.

• In Sparwood at 8:47 a.m. a report was made regarding an individual at the Finning picket site becoming problematic.

• In Sparwood at 10:48 a.m. there was a report of a stolen hanging flower-basket.

• In Elkford at 11:58 a.m. an overnight MVI involving a bear was reported.

• In Sparwood at 2:55 p.m. a report was made of a wallet stolen from a vehicle.

• In Fernie at 4:08 p.m. a request for police assistance was made to help Fernie Fire and Rescue with a residential fire alarm. The alarm was determined to be false.

• In Baynes Lake at 8:39 p.m. there was a report of a single vehicle incident (a deer was hit).

• In Sparwood at 8:41 p.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported.

• In Fernie at 9:05 p.m. a neighbourhood dispute was reported.

• In Fernie (west of tunnel) at 9:49 p.m. a report was made regarding a tree down on the highway.

• In Sparwood at 10:47 p.m. a suspicious male was reported walking around.
