The ski season is coming to a close but there are a couple of year-end events at Fernie Alpine Resort that shouldn’t be missed.

“There is sun in the forecast, we like that here, add to that great snow conditions and incredible line up of Spring events, and you have a recipe for bubblin energy and a beautiful day,” said Matt Mosteller, spokesperson for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. “We have so many events happening, so don’t miss something for all ages, check the website, and get your crew outside for spring in the mountains.”

First it’s Retro Weekend on April 1 and 2.

Bust out your retro snowsuit, spandex neon leggings and leg warmers, tease up your hair over your headband, and get ready for retro weekend. Activities that include the return of the Retro Ski Ballet and Old School Mogul Bash competitions, the Banded Peak Retro Party featuring DJ Rocswell in the Griz Bar and special retro outfit contests.

And then it’s the last weekend of skiing on April 15 and 16 — Fernival.

Celebrate the final weekend of skiing/riding with live music in the plaza with three incredible bands. On Saturday we have high energy and fun to watch Mt Rushka , opening for headliners Runaway, a bon Jovi cover band plus Liquid Silence, one of the Griz Bar favourite bands on Sunday.
