Sparwood has been turned upside down over missing boy

Massive search in eastern B.C. community for 3-year-old. Amber Alert from RCMP cites 46-year-old, and brown Toyota Camry as subjects of search.

A shoulder to shoulder search continues this morning. Search and rescue are activley looking for volunteers to aid. Registration is ongoing at the LDS Church in Sparwood heights.

Sparwood 10 am – The community of Sparwood has been turned upside down waiting for information on Kienan Hebert still missing since early Wednesday.

Search and rescue teams have arrived from Kimberley and Cranbrook to aid with the search.

Shoulder to shoulder searches of the area surrounding Whiskey Jack continue throughout the morning Thursday and RCMP have issued an Amber Alert.

Several locals have headed out to the backcountry to take a look for anything suspicious.

The mood in Sparwood remains somber but hopeful this morning. Updates will be given as they are received.
