Stretch of Highway 3 to be shut down for avalanche control work, Thursday April 26

Highway 3 between Fernie and Elko will be closed in the afternoon today to allow for some avalanche control work.

According to DriveBC, the highway will be closed in both directions approximately 15 kilometres east of Elko between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., April 26.

DriveBC says drivers can expect delays of up to one hour.
