JOSS:

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Alex Joss who died suddenly on Jan 8, 2010 at the young age of 26. He was the youngest of four children. Alex was born on Nov 18, 1983 to the proud parents Raymond and Margaret Joss. Alex will be greatly missed by his older siblings Ernie, James, Peaches and her husband Dirk, his three nephews Austin, Joseph and Zachariah, his niece Kyra as well as his Aunt Ethel and Uncle Doug, many friends and co-workers. Alex started his life in Sparwood where he attended Frank J Mitchell Elementary and Sparwood Secondary. He had many things he liked to do some of them were riding his pedal bike, building tree forts and just joking around with his friends. He liked to go camping, fishing and help work on vehicles. Alex was also one of those kids who would bring home stray cats and dogs. Alex moved to Cranbrook where he started work at Canadian Tire and then went on to work at Blade Runners where he would go out on paper pick-ups and help with the paper shredding. Alex is predeceased by Grandfather Joseph Joss and Grandmother Helen Joss of Sparwood and his grandfather Archie McPherson and Grandmother Edith McPherson of Wapella, Saskatchewan.

Alex’s service was held at St Michael’s Catholic Church on January 16, 2010 at 10:30a.m. Father Thomas Kakkaniyil officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were; Neil Beranek, Dirk Pennock, Larry Robb, Garry Davies, Garry Bjarnason, Bruce Timbrell, Christopher Plessis. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S or Alberta Children’s Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
