HOLLEY:
Charles Holley (Chum) was born May 19, 1926 in Merritt BC. He is survived by his loving wife Anne Holley, 4 daughters: Carolyn & Steve Bushko of Fernie, Sharon Rusnak & Bert Oxford of Sparwood, Donna & Ron Roberts of Fernie, and Rosina & Randy Widmer of Okotoks AB. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Crystal Caldwell Dodge, Luanda Gibbs, Jeremy Rusnak, Kayla Roberts, Nadiine Roberts, Chad Widmer, Ryan Widmer, Holley Thomas, and Kellie Widmer, 12 great grandchildren: Corey Caldwell & Sage Dodge, Aaron & Matthew Wilbern, Carly Rusnak, Ryden, Avarie and Logen Thomas, Jet, Macy and Jack Widmer, and Wyatt Widmer, and his only surviving sister, Ellen Weitzel of Delta BC.
Chum was the fourth child of Tom and Ellen Holley and is predeceased by two sisters, Jean Mckitrick and Vera Holley, and two brothers, Tom and Bill Holley.
Chum served in the military and then worked in the mines for a short time; eventually moving on to the logging industry where he remained until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and being with his family. Chum was a loving husband and devoted father. Joking was second nature to him along with an abundance of patience.
He will be forever missed by his wife and family and all those who knew him.
