It is with great sorrow that the family of Einar Sosnowski announces his passing, following a lengthy battle with respiratory illness. Einar is now at peace with family and friends who predeceased him; including his parents, Mable & Mick Sosnowski and sister Doris (Mitzy).
Einar is survived by his life partner Diane Burger, his brothers Mike Sosnowski (Beth Dennahower), Wally Dixon (Lynne), former sister-in-law March Ungaro, along with aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces and his step-family.
Einar worked in the logging industry for many years and was also a jack of all trades who lent a hand wherever needed. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved his fishing and hunting. Einar loved to spend time with his family, neighbours and friends and especially enjoyed watching his nephews race stock cars and snowmobiles.
We would like to sincerely thank the physicians and nursing team at Cranbrook Regional Hospital for their special care during Einar’s multiple hospital stays.
At Einar’s request, a funeral service will not be held, however a family memorial will take place at one of his treasured outdoor places in the spring.
