Elenore, Grace Garlock (nee Vause)

April 1, 2012

It is with our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of 63 years old Elnore Grace Garlock who passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital on April 1, 2012. She was predeceased by her father Jim Vause in 1992. Elnore is survived by her husband Lloyd Garlock, son Richard (Kim) Garlock, Lana (Roy) Garlock, grandchildren; Brandon (Raven) Garlock, Brett Garlock (Kellie Baker), Dalton Garlock, Alisha Garlock, Dillian Sarabun, Colin Sarabun and great grandchild Mikaela Garlock, sister Linda (Mike) Kowal of High Level Alberta, brother Ken (Loretta) Vause of Dawson Creek, mother Dorothy Vause of Fort St. John BC, many cousins, nieces and nephews and great friends. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Elnore will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered as the glue that held the family together, but most importantly, a person with a heart of gold who fought one hell of a battle and touched so many hearts, truly an inspiration to all who knew her.

Married to her sweetheart Lloyd Garlock on April 15, 1967, Elnore’s life revolved around her family and friends. Elnore also loved to sew, quilt, play cards, go quading, fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchild. She also enjoyed sewing/knitting things for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was especially proud of her grandchildren that went on to college to receive their diplomas as well as those who are pursuing their diplomas; nothing could make her more proud. Let’s not and say we did.

A special thank you goes out to Dr. Gray and all the nursing staff who took great care and support in our time of need.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC Cancer Society or the Rose Lodge Guesthouse, 2251 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB.
