Evelyn Rybachuk, beloved Mother & Nana, passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital on July 29, 2011 at the age of 86 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Evelyn was born in Michel, BC on March 8, 1925 to parents William and Emily Dootson. She loved life, family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.
Evelyn is lovingly survived by 5 sons: Jim (Kathy), Jack (Gloria), Tom (Wendy), Doug, and Ray (Shari), her daughter Elaine (Todd) Oakley, 10 grandchildren: Blake & Brent Rybachuk, Mandy Rybachuk & Jacey Foskett, Stacie White & Kayla Stanley, Tyler & Lindsay Rybachuk, and Kara & Meghan Oakley and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Emily Dootson, sisters Jane, Harriett and Alice, and her husband John.
Prayers were held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 3rd. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, August 4th with Father Bart van Roijen, Celebrant.
