It is with a heavy heart that one of our family members Gary Mills died on June 2, 2018 from a heart attack along with other complications. He was a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his brother Don (Karen) Mills of Kenora, Ontario. Along with his niece Donna and nephew Dean along with their 3 children. Also his stepchildren, Sherry (Darcy) Grykuliak, Roger Hauser, Beverly (Wes) Perozak, Terry (Cindy) Hauser. Along with 7 grandchildren, Chris Scanlon, Scott Scanlon, Tina Mitchell, Keith Hauser, Melissa, Amy & Kara Hauser and 11 great grandchildren.
Gary was born in McCrossen, Ontario. He was a hard worker but also enjoyed horse racing, in fact he owned a race horse in Ontario. He made his way to Sparwood BC looking for a new career in Drilling at the Kaiser Mine. In the following years he met the love of his life Ann which he met at Hosmer one summer and the rest is history they may say. They married not long afterwards. Ann moving from Sask with family in tow. Together they made a life and also decided to start up his own business Mills Steam Cleaning. He had worked hard for the community and was seen as a Pillar in the community for over 40 years.
He touched many lives professionally and personally and will be missed by family & friends. Friends and family may donate to the Heart and Stroke Fund or to Cancer Fund. May Gary rest in peace along side his wife Ann!
