Harry Mctier Peebles passed away peacefully in his home in Calgary, Alberta.
Harry was born in Kirton of Lethendy in Scotland. He attended St. Andrews University before moving to Canada. Harry went back to Scotland to marry Sybil in 1957 and then moved back to Quesnel until 1962. They then resided in Sparwood, their long time residence.
Some of his fondest memories were of times spent as an administrator at Sparwood Secondary School. After retirement, he moved to Calgary, but still enjoyed coming to Sparwood to golf and attend his grandchildrens’ many events.
He was preceeded by his wife Sybil in July 2010. Harry was a wonderful father to children Veronica and Harry Peebles of Calgary, and Blair (Holly) Peebles of Sparwood. Grandad to Blake, Emily and Dawson Peebles of Sparwood. He will be greatly missed.
