It is with overwhelming grief that we announce the passing of Donald on May 6, 2018 as he was surrounded by the love of his family.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Peggy of almost 46 years of marriage. He is also survived by his loving son Jason (Shauna) with children Gracie, Cody, Taylor, Lizzy and Lexi, as well as loving son Jeremy (Madelene) with son Kane.
He is also survived by his precious sisters Candy Reghenas, Diane (Lanny) Kneirt, Colleen (Gerry) Powell, Glenn (Sandra) Di Georgio, Rilla (Hughie) Mackinnon.
Donald was loved by many cousins, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and so many more.
Donald was a husband and father who gave us the best years of his life. He showed us how to love, taught us how to pray and show love to others. Your life was unselfish, for others you lived, not for what you received, but for what you could give.
His favourite times were when he would entertain family and friends. One of his greatest joys was recycling bottles and cans (on his hands and knees) for the Church and for those in need and was generous with so many.
He was a faithful parishioner to the Holy Family Catholic Church, a life time member of the Elks, and member of the 3300 Club of Fernie.
Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him. He is now with his Mother and Father in Heaven and may he always rest in peace and know of our great love for all his friends and family.
A special thank you to Doctor's Bakker, Michaels, Forrest and Lowen for their amazing care and empathy they provided the family.
A special thank you to the great ICU staff at Cranbrook Hospital for their kindness, respect, and dignity they provided from one and all. Love and thanks to each of you.
A very special thank you to Candy Reghenas for all the broken pieces you've picked up along the way to help our family grieve. You have helped tremendously in providing your love and comfort to all of us.
