CROMBIE:
On Wednesday, June 1, 2011 our brother, uncle & friend, John Clinton Crombie, passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital at the age of 71 years.
John is survived by 3 brothers: Ralph, Jim and David, and 2 sisters: June DeHoop and Sandy (Randy) Remdenok as well as many nieces and nephews.
John was born in Windsor, Ontario on August 3, 1939 to parents John and Margaret Crombie. As a young man he ventured out to Western Canada, where he was among the first crew to begin working in Fort McMurray, Alberta. John was an intelligent, frugal man who worked hard, saving enough money to purchase land in Roosville where he enjoyed living the simple, uncomplicated life of a bachelor. Truly a “Rocky Mountain Man”, John loved animals; sharing his property with goats, dogs and horses; living a content and laidback lifestyle. He will be fondly remembered by those who shared in his life.
